A Time of Renewal – Spring 2021

The Spring months are a time of renewal for many of the local wildlife.

This Spring we have observed a Canada goose nest on one of our floating platforms and have 7 goslings hatch.

A Female Mallard Duck selected a wooden planter on a lake dock for her nest site and successfully hatched 10 ducklings.  Later, we are lucky to see the Mallard family on the shoreline far from the nest site.

This video provide some peaceful moments of new life.   Also seen are some other local creatures, including a Spotted Plover, a Northern Water Snake, Eastern Painted Turtles, a White-tailed Deer, and some beautiful Wood Ducks.

Hope you enjoy the video and take time for a walk in our beautiful local environment.

The Edward L Rose Conservancy welcomes new members and donations for sharing the special places in our natural world.
