Flowers and Ferns Hike with Jeff Smith and Julie Mundt – Awesome

On Saturday May 17, 2025, we were privileged to participate on a walk at Woodbourne Forest Preserve with Jeff Smith and Julie Mundt from the Waterman Conservation Center , 

The forest walk was focused on Wild Flowers and Ferns and proved to be a rich and diverse experience.

Literally every few steps there were different examples of flower species and varieties of ferns.  Jeff and Julie proved to have extensive knowledge on identification and sharp eyes, along with a willingness to share and provide helpful insights into identification skills and wonders that could easily be missed.

The forest information shared included identification and impacts of multiple invasive species and plant life cycles.
