Saturday, July 19, 2025
The Board of Directors of the E.L. Rose Land Conservancy invites all members to
attend its annual business meeting on Saturday, July 19th at 11:00 a.m. This year
the event will be held at the new outdoor pavilion behind the offices of the
Susquehanna County Conservation District (SCCD), just south of Montrose on
State Route 29 — see directions below. Please arrive between 10:30 and 11:00, for
social time with other members and a light brunch of bagels, fruit, mini-quiche and
coffee. The meeting will begin at 11:30.
The E.L. Rose Conservancy depends on the participation of its dues-paying
members, not only for financial support but for attending the annual meeting to
elect officers and vote on other key issues. The meeting is an opportunity to learn
how your dues are being spent and to express your views on the organization’s
future direction. The complimentary meal is a thank-you to members for their
participation and a forum for informal interaction with people who share your
interest in land conservation.
All E.L. Rose members are welcome, along with family and guests. There will be
a nominal meal charge for non-members. To help us plan this event, please fill out
and return the form below. The Board asks for your responses no later than
Monday, July 14th. We hope to see you at the meeting.
Directions to SCCD (89 Industrial Drive, Montrose, PA 18801): Follow Rt 29
south out of Montrose. The road dips into a valley and rises again in a sweeping S
curve. After the road straightens, turn left onto Industrial Drive at the Trehab sign.
The SCCD office is downhill to the left of an older, smaller pavilion. Their new
pavilion is visible from the parking lot.
