Donations
Join us and others like you who want to protect our scenic landscapes, wildlife habitat and water resources in this wonderful region of Northeast Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier of New York! Please choose an amount you are comfortable giving.
Donations are considered one-time gifts, typically in support of the general fund, as a memorial to a loved one, or a specific conservation program. We encourage you to consider becoming an E.L. Rose member, or to increase your existing membership level. Membership dues vary according to subscription category, and your membership includes voting privileges and other benefits. E.L. Rose members have the option to use autopay to make recurring payments. To learn more, return to the home page and go to the Membership tab.
Donation Options
For online donations using a credit card or PayPal, click “Make a Donation” and fill in the required data fields. Hit “Submit” to go to the secure payment page, where you will be asked for credit card or PayPal information. Once your donation is finalized you will receive a letter from the Edward L. Rose Land Conservancy thanking you for your gift.
To donate by writing a check, click “Download a Mail-in Form”, fill it out and send it to the address below with your payment. As above, your gift will be acknowledged in writing, allowing you to claim a federal tax deduction if otherwise eligible.
Employer Matching Gifts
Donating to the Edward L. Rose Conservancy is easy! And, with only a small added effort, you could double or even triple your contribution! Many companies will match contributions to the Conservancy made by employees and spouses, even if retired. Please check to see if your company has a matching gift program; if so, simply fill out their matching gift form and include it with your donation!

Tax Deduction
The Edward L. Rose Land Conservancy is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization: your donations are tax deductible if you meet current IRS guidelines (see IRS Publication 526.) Dedicated friends like you who make gifts to the organization offer an alternative source of much-needed income to our Land Trust. Donation income allows us to focus more resources on protecting land and water, and fewer resources on fundraising and member recruitment. Your tax-deductible contributions help protect the land you love for current and future generations.

QCD - Qualified Charitable Distribution
The Internal Revenue Service reminds individual retirement arrangement (IRA) owners age 70½ or over that they can transfer up to $100,000 to charity tax-free each year.
These transfers, known as qualified charitable distributions or QCDs, offer eligible older Americans a great way to easily give to charity before the end of the year. And, for those who are at least 73 years old, QCDs count toward the IRA owner's required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.
