Scenes of High Point Preserve Autumn 2024
This video features the change of seasons from Fall to Winter in Northeast PA at Silver Lake and the High Point Preserve.
Local wildlife prepares for winter, including porcupine, raccoon, fox, bobcat, coyote, barred owl, chickadees,
Downy woodpecker, Great Blue Heron, and Kingfisher.
First time we have seen a mother porcupine nursing a young porcupine. The young are born in the April to June time Fram, and
stay with the mother for around 6 months. This young porcupine will likely soon be on its own.
Also rare is a sighting of a Bobcat in the Highpoint Preserve.
The patterns of lake ice in the early season provide a visual transition for the seasons.
Underwater springs and cracks in the ice provide dynamic images.
We hope that you enjoy the video and share with your family and friends.
