Winter has Broken 2024 Nature Video

Below is a link to a new Youtube video featuring the Silver Lake area and the High Point Preserve in late Winter and early Spring of 2024.
The observed bird migration numbers seem to be down this year but we have been treated to the beautiful behaviors of Common Mergansers, Hooded Mergansers, Mallards, and Wood Ducks.
The porcupines are becoming more active and are making new friends.
The Butterfly Garden has a vernal pool that is frequented in Spring by Wood Frogs and some newts and salamanders.    The chatter of the wood frogs is curious as are the egg masses encased in gel that fill the small pool.  This year there were some unexpected visitors to the vernal pool.
