Apricity – Warmth the Winter Sun

This video focuses on the early water changes and patterns from the winter sun and wildlife in North East Pennsylvania.   The High Point Preserve, under the stewardship of the Edward L Rose Land Conservancy, protects a major portion of the watershed of Silver Lake. The lake  often freezes over in the winter,  with the freezing process often complex with the interplay of the sun, wind, and water currents.  Sometimes the phase change process displays multiple cycles of freeze and thaw. Silver lake, a natural glacial lake, is classified as an Exceptional Value (EV) waterbody, which is the highest water quality category in Pennsylvania.

The features photograph is of a Fisher which is an elusive predator native to the High Point Preserve.
