Current Issues

Edward L Rose Conservancy works to monitor the local environment and help to bring awareness to local citizens about issues that are bringing potential or real impacts.

Some impacts happen gradually as with the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid invasive insect that has just recently be identified in Susquehanna County, PA and in the Southern Tier of New York State.

Some impacts can happen more intensely and rapidly with chemical spills, building pipelines, and clear cutting of forests tracts, as with the Gas Industry.
